All are qualified in CPR, First Aid, Swift Water Rescue, food handling education and Leave No Trace. Many have earned credentials as Emergency Medical Technicians and Wilderness First Responders. They are all exciting individuals who have a passion for sharing the outdoors. Our fleet of busses, passenger vans, and SUV's are all cleaned and updated regularly, to insure that you arrive at your destination in comfort and style. Since, getting to the trail head or River is an exciting time as you are anxious to begin your adventure, all of High Mountain Expeditions drivers are professionally trained and experienced at navigating the roads on which we operate. At High Mountain Expeditions we are siblings, parents and grandparents and we understand the importance of creating unforgettable, fun filled adventures for every member of the family. The minimum age for our adventures ranges from 3 to 9, so there are plenty of adventures for the whole family. Gold Standard for River SafetyOur guides begin each adventure with a detailed orientation, much of which concerns safety. They demonstrate the proper use of your paddle, how to sit in the raft, how to properly adjust and wear your life jacket, how to hold on in rapids and what to do if you fall out of the raft. Our guides are always on alert and are constantly watching out for your well-being. Every trip is equipped with ample safety and first aid equipment as well as radios for emergency use.
