Water and Weather Conditions In the High Country of Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock North Carolina, the weather will be great, a bite cooler in temperatures then down off the Mountain. There will be a chance of scattered late after noon showers over at the rivers the Temperatures will be in the mid 80's. High Mountain will have tubing every day on the New River just out side of Boone for that person who just wants to enjoy a few hours out or more. We also have a great half day whitewater rafting trip on the Watauga river, Always with lots of water, this dam controlled river will never run low on fun. For the person that needs even more the Nolichucky River is the best whitewater trip in the area. With its best water levels for the season right now thanks to the rain we have had. We are glad to be back in rafts once again after the few nights of rain we had.. Lets Go Rafting
