All Day White Water Rafting in Tennessee Trip
The Nolichucky River is one hour away from Banner Elk. This
white water rafting in Tennessee trip will meet at our Banner Elk location, Ski Country
Sports at 6:45 a.m. and depart promptly at 7:00 a.m.
Once in Erwin, TN, we’ll stop at Hardee's for a quick
breakfast and use of their facilities. After about 10 to 15
minutes we will be back on our way to the river. Arriving in
Poplar NC at the put-in, where we will take the time to give
a safety talk and also some introductory instructions about
the use of funyaks and rafts. Around 9:45 a.m. we will be on
the water headed for the first rapid called Last Chance and
Beat-Me-Daddy where you get your first look into white water
rafting in Tennessee on the Nolichucky River. You will travel about half
way through the 11 mile gorge past rapids like On The Rocks,
Jaws, Quarter Mile and Rock Garden where we will stop for
lunch.
After everyone has had all they can eat we will finish up
the day with a few easier rapids such as Rail Road Wall,
Souse hole and State Line Shoals, stopping briefly at Big
Eddie to surf and swim. After everyone has had some time to
play we will end our day just a short distance down stream
at the take-out in Erwin around 3:00 p.m. (TIME MAY VARY
BASED ON WATER LEVELS AND NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT DAY.) Once
all the guests have had a chance to change clothes, we will
board the bus or van and travel about 15 minutes to a store
where you can use the facilities and get a snack for the
return trip. We will arrive back in Banner Elk usually some
time around 4:30 p.m. (ONCE AGAIN THIS MIGHT VARY DEPENDING
ON WATER LEVELS AND NUMBER OF GUEST ON THE RIVER.)
We will provide your transportation to and from the river,
guide for the day, equipment and lunch on the river. All
prices include sales tax and river fees. |
